FACI USA, INC. (formerly known as American eChem, Inc.)
Along with eChem UK, the FACI Group also acquired the Texas, USA plant located in Lufkin which, just like the Leeds unit, leads the water-based dispersions of metallic stearate industry.
A new production unit for the site was commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2022 to produce metallic stearates. This strategically located plant in Lufkin, TX, (alongside regional warehousing in key areas of the country), can supply all the main producers of polyolefins, producers of polymers, additives for polymer, plastic compounders, plastic stabilizer producers, master batch producers and the growing energy sector. This ticks one more box in the “Business Contingency Plan” implemented by FACI Group over the past years and supports our growth in the USA as a key market.
A new company was formed consolidating the two areas of business – FACI USA Inc.

FACI Group
In the years following its inception, FACI Group gained an excellent reputation in the oleochemicals industry, first through international trade, and then taking over new plants in Europe, America and Asia. Such expansion strategy resulted in creating FACI Group, which presently consists of seven production plants located in three continents. FACI Group is the largest producer of nontoxic metallic stereate, as well as one of the global leading producers of additives for plastics such as lubricants, co-stabilizers, acid decontaminants and release agents.
